getting this thing going

its been a couple of weeks now, since i first promised some exciting news from my facebook page – the news was this website…which, is still not up and running.

my sincerest apologies. i have been muddling around this website trying to make slight changes that will improve the process for y’all. my lack of a decent digital camera is slowing me down also – seriously. so, with the dusting off of our very old digi-cam this weekend – i should have everything ready – by – say, next sunday! sound like a good deadline? yeah, i think so too.

my medium.

the colours of glass. the way that light shines on and through them. its a perpetual movement of light through this amazing medium. the light faltered, flicked through obstacles like skin, fabric or darkness. it is always bright, no matter the amount of light. its smoothness reflected perfectly in the fact that glass is actually considered a ‘super cooled liquid’.

all of this, i love. i hope you see it too.

the first market endeavour

2 weeks ago i launched my ‘market career’…well, i just did my first regular market – besides the glory of the Sangria&Lace market last year. it was Coledale Markets by the Sea. a glorious locale – nestled between the escarpment and the sea cliffs – and a beautiful day saw that i enjoyed myself.

a few friends who are local came by and visited me, even dropping off some Turkish pide for lunch. what a gorgeous girl! it was a slow day, but a good taster of the market lifestyle. you have to be confident in what your selling, outgoing without concern for ‘selling’ the product too hard and friendly. thats what i honestly do love about markets – is the friendly conversations you strike up – the people you meet and the smiling faces you see. its a little slice of saturated time of living in the friendliness neighbourhood around.

well i hope to make Coledale Markets a regular of mine, so come down and see me and all the amazing handcrafts, finds and bargains of others’.
